Three years ago I went on my first date with Matt Ence. This is a picture of us before going on that date. When I met Matt I was impressed from the very start. He served a full-time mission, he loves music, and he lives the gospel. I felt so comfortable around him and wanted to be my best self when I was around him. I love this time of year and I love my husband Matt:)

Family History
The past couple of months I have had more than plenty of time on my hands. I have been looking for a job lately and have been trying to stay sane at home all day with no one here during the day. I talked to my sister Angie who suggested a couple of things to put my time to good use. One of those things was indexing for the family history records through the church's website. I have found that when I am feeling like I am not making much of a contribution in a day that I can get on the computer and help index names. I love the feeling I get when I submit a completed batch. This activity has also helped me think more about family history and its importance in my life.
Yay for projects that make time fly and that help other people! And yay for my new job! I am so excited to help children learn to read. I know this job will help me to be a better mother.

Nine years ago today America was attacked. I am glad that I have a loving Father in Heaven who provides help and understanding during difficult times. Here is a quote I like about this by President Gordon B. Hinckley:
"Today, the world remembers the tragic events of September 11, 2001. We are still shocked and dismayed at the infamy of those cowardly attacks.
"During the past year, we have come to know the heroic acts of men and women whose courage and selflessness were manifest on that terrible day. So many lost their lives. So many friends and families have been deprived of dear ones. Today we pause to remember and join in tribute to those whose lives were taken and to those who have carried on so bravely in their absence.
"We know that much good has come of these dreadful circumstances. From the smoke and ashes of New York, Washington, D.C., Pennsylvania, and other areas of the world has arisen a greater sense of unity and purpose in ridding the earth of evil and providing for the freedom and security of all people. We endorse the righteous efforts of God-fearing people everywhere in this important endeavor.
"May our Father in Heaven smile upon us all, comfort those who continue to mourn, and guide the leaders of nations in the quest for justice and liberty, is our sincere prayer. (LDS Newsroom, Sept. 12, 2002)
